Jack Blackman established himself in the UK roots scene while still a teenager and in subsequent years, his guitar-skills and song craft have been praised and supported by the likes of ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris, Sadler Vaden (of Jason Isbell’s 400 Unit), and Martin Simpson, who proclaimed ‘At last! A brilliant young guitarist coming through’.
He is a familiar name on the UK touring circuit and has performed as far away as the Mississippi Delta in the USA. He has supported artists as diverse as Tony Joe White, Martin Carthy, Ginger Wildheart, Paul Jones and the Blues Band and Dave Swarbrick of Fairport Convention.
Jack’s albums ‘Too South For Heaven’ and ‘Nearly Man’ have been met with widespread acclaim.
