Established in 1308, the Black Bear in Tewkesbury is the oldest pub in Gloucestershire. A three years conservation effort has restored the building to the original fabric and layout of the early 1400s. Enjoy a beer and open fire as a victorious Yorkist did after the battle of Tewkesbury in 1471. Thanks for the local support, that has helped the Black Bear to be once again an asset to the civic life of Tewkesbury
