The Cherrystones

Aly, Matt and Dave have been playing together as The Cherrystones for 5 years, although their musical pedigree goes much further back. Dave is an original songwriter and guitar/bouzouki player, Aly has played whistle in many places around the world and is a magical player, and Matt is a talented bassist and much-experienced musician, playing with many bands as well as being an expert sound engineer. Specialising in original and traditional songs and tunes this energetic and sparky trio always bring a lively and engaging performance, whether it be in an intimate folk club or a festival. Slow airs, meaningful songs and fast jigs and reels are delivered with passion and integrity, sure to get you thinking and dancing! The band has played at Nozstock, Lakefest, Fishguard Folk Festival, The Red Lion Folk Club, Birch and Stock Folk Club, The Lost Arc, Rhayader, Hellens Garden Festival, to name but a few. They have recorded an EP "Tangled and Tide" and recorded videos for The Narrowboat Sessions, available on You Tube.
