Never one to conform, Kurisu has always been a bit of a music rebel. His key value is that everyone should feel free to be themselves and so is a proud supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and anyone who wants to see the world living without fear, prejudice or hate., His unique music includes influences from the 1920s to the present day and music from India and Japan, performing original compositions on guitar or the sitar. , In April 2024, Kurisu was a finalist in a talent show at the newly opened Birmingham Black Box Theatre and was invited to perform as part of Birmingham Fest and the Raising Steam Arts Festival.
