O ‘ H A L L O R AN started out at Access To Music in 2013 (Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora, Jess Glynne all attended Access To Music along the way. He started his performing journey alongside the popular music course @University of Gloucestershire. For 2 years Mike Smith, was my lecturer (keys player in Blur and Gorillaz) now a close friend, he lives in Bristol so keep in touch. He has always said Harry get your songs published. He gave us a tray of shots after me and my band played in Prague in 2017. What a legend. Lovely man. I worked at the frog and fiddle (200 cap venue) in Cheltenham and immersed myself in the scene. I grew my base with the likes of Ben Cipolla, Demi Marriner, Conal Kelly, Truck, Andy Oliveri and The Mountaineers, Conor O’Rourke, Aarigod, Crooks UK, Grace Grundy, Frazer Lepford, Bobby Scaife (Selina Fever – other project). All part of Cheltenham scene. The Birmingham scene struggled to understand that i was like a Sam Fender, James Bay, Hozier , George Ezra – a songwriter with a band. So i made a change in Lockdown. My gran was Elizabeth O’Halloran (a nurse, would be turning in her grave with the state of NHS right now) before being adopted and shipped to Bromsgrove, from Coonagh, Limerick in Ireland. Brought up in a Haberdashery and then met my grandad John Daniels whom they had 6 kids together, one of whom was my father Richard Daniels. The rest is history. I was born the week Kurt Cobain died and the term Britpop was coined – 10th April 1994. A cricket fan – id rather be a bear than a pear. My auntie barbara played for england and won the world cup in 1993 – i was in my mother’s womb when they were at Lords for the final vs New Zealand.
