I’m Chris Phillips. I get a kick out of playing and singing great songs that I love. I do acoustic classics, covering a wide range of tunes from the likes of Van Morrison, Springsteen, Rod Stewart, Elvis Costello, Joni Mitchell…the list is long. I also front a pretty high energy covers band called the Strolling Tones. I have had quite a long musical journey. In the 90’s I enjoyed being a part of the Birmingham and Midlands Alt Rock and Alt Country scene. I was frontman and songwriter for the infamous Roadhouse, alongside Ex HOD drummer Paul Sharp and keyboard genius Jim Cowdell. Prior to that I did enjoyed being part of various outfits including the classic Black Country rock n roll band Jim’s Got Style with the brilliant guitarist Phil Carter.
