Blanco Negra are a 3 piece Sleaze / Glam Punk rock band from Wolverhampton in the West Midlands. Performing their own original material, they are influenced by bands such as The Wildhearts, Dogs D’Amour and Guns N’ Roses. Beginning life as a duo, featuring Dave and Gayna McCarthy, they became a three piece in 2023 when Anne Blakemore joined the band on Bass Guitar and backing vocals. They have been gigging in and around the West Midlands as a three piece since October 2023 and to date have released an EP, The Sunshine Girl EP, which is available on Bandcamp, Amazon Music, Spotify and other online streaming services. They have supported, amongst others, The Mercury Riots and Continental Lovers on their UK tours and have played at KK’s Steelmill and also played at The O2 Academy in Sheffield at HRH Sleaze Festival. The band were booked to play at Malvern Rocks in 2024 but unfortunately broke down on the way, so they didn’t get to play.
