Two years ago, Phils musician friend Paul Boyce passed away after battling with cancer, so Phil decided to get some old friends together to do a gig in his honour. The first few practice sessions took place in Phils brick cutting factory and all of the bands gear got covered in brick dust. Brick dust is used in hoodoo rituals, so the band name became Hoodoo Dust as it seemed quite fitting. We ended up really enjoying playing together so decided to keep going. We all love rock and blues and practice every Sunday religiously, squeezing in a gig here and there. Phil has been singing and playing acoustic guitar for many years. Paul has played guitar for most of his life and also works full time in the guitar industry. Steve and Pete the RnB brothers, as we call them, have grown up playing music together and have played in different bands with Phil over the years. Sam is the newest member, an awesome musician and a great find for Hoodoo Dust. He plays an arrangement of instruments in a few different bands around Worcestershire. We are all from Malvern/Worcester. We play music together to have a great time and to put a smiles on faces, packing out venues time and time again. Playing music and having fun is what it’s all about.🤘
