Trash Flower is a high-energy rock band from Cheltenham. Fronted by their talented and passionate front woman, they bring a refreshing female presence to the rock scene. Influenced by iconic bands such as Skunk Anansie, Guns & Roses, and Nine Inch Nails, Trash Flower seamlessly blends elements of classic and alternative rock to create their melodic hard-hitting sound. Originally from South Africa, Aimee grew up listening to almost anything from Motown, to Pop to Trance. A few years after immigrating to the UK she was introduced to 90’s Grunge – Pearl Jam; Audioslave; Alice in Chains; Rage Against The Machine. She felt and heard music in a different way…this is when her passion for Rock began! Always wanting to play the drums she took her first lesson and 6 months later she was playing in an originals heavy rock band. Drumming was her first love; she did always want to sing but just never had the confidence to front a band. That changed after having her second child and in 2017 when she put together her first band as a front woman, she has been singing ever since. Making music as a drummer is amazing but singing gives her a different way of expressing herself; she hopes to relate to people through her emotive vocals and lyrics from her heart., Steve – Bass:, Steve’s first real success was being the founding member of a seminal 90s Swindon power pop band, The Sweetjanes. He has been writing and playing bass for more years than he would care to mention. After taking a break from playing to raise a family, Steve jumped at the chance joined Trash Flower in February 2023 and he loves song writing with this band! Inspired by bassists such as Duff McKagan, Johnny Colt, Nicky Wire and Andy Rourke, his sound has a drive as well as plenty of high end to keep things interesting. , Charlie – Lead Guitar:, Charlie has played guitar for years. He acquired his first instrument when a school friend gave him a battered classical guitar in exchange for hiding out at his house to bunk school…he has been playing ever since. He joined his first band at 19, and wrote his first song a year or two later – he admits it wasn’t the greatest song, but it was a start. As life progressed he has worked his way through various bands in various towns, always in love with being part of the creative process, and above all playing live! For him Trash Flower is by far the best thing he’s ever done and he is looking forward immensely to the bands launch at The Beauchamp Arms. , Mike – Drums:, Mike started drumming when he was 12 and played in numerous bands through his teens and into early twenties. After some time away from music he recently decided to get back into playing again after starting to teach his eldest son to play. Inspired by Keith Moon, John Bonham, Ronnie Vannucci and Cozy Powell. He is excited to start performing with Trash Flower and showing audiences what they are all about! Adrian – Keys:, Ad started playing bass in his dads show band gigging around working men’s clubs in Manchester. He later got into producing and into DJ-ing, producing Trance music under the name ‘EverReaL’. Ad is one of those talents that can play bass, guitar, keys, he can even play drums. He loves all kinds of music (except Jazz!) and his influences are too many to mention. Ad has played in many bands over the years his most successful band being Boxcar Maverick. Now he plays keys in Trash Flower where his production background is greatly appreciated as he brings a different creative layer into the song writing.
