Fret Stomper's history is yet to be written, so the its all about the pedigree of the payers involved. Andy Platt (guitar) and John Ridsdale (vocals/harp) have played together off and on for 40 years. They started to focus on blues in the 1990s in The Awful Truth. They later formed Big Fat Shorty which likewise focused on Chicago blues, throwing in a bit of R&B and Rock 'n' Roll. Their music has shown no progression what-so-ever, as they are now back seeing how they can make the same 3 chords sound good. What's wrong with that?, A touch of class has been added to this project, by the rhythm section., Rob Scott plays bass but is perhaps better known as a guitarist. He is also steeped in the blues! When John and Andy were in The Awful Truth, Rob was playing the same circuit with Wolf At The Door. He then went on to form Groovy Head and has been playing guitar with them for over 20 years., Nailing it all down is Jeremy Castle's job. He has over 40 years experience playing drums in a variety of styles. We love the punters to dance at our gigs ... but if you can't dance just bounce, shake or wobble!
