Laurel Canyon is a four piece band from Malvern. Basing their style on the music and fashion of the Laurel Canyon area of West California in the mid to late 1960’s, their close harmonies, infectious charm, energy and vibe is unique and captures the aura of the famed ‘Summer of Love’. Laurel Canyon was born during Covid Lockdown. Adam and Amanda started singing and playing Mamas and Papas songs to keep themselves entertained and realising what fun and how unique it would be to create a band with authentic four part harmony, asked Amanda’s sister Robin and her husband Mike to perform a few surprise numbers at a gig that Adam was booked for…which were extremely well received! Fast forward a year or so, Laurel Canyon’s reputation is spreading and the band are starting to gig around the country. The band were invited to play in France in 2022 and given their love of all things 60’s, were delighted to play alongside female bass playing legend Megan Brady from the English beat group The Applejacks.
