John Mosedale is a seasoned songwriter/guitarist who entered the folk scene at an age when others consider early retirement. Since then he has performed at Upton, Banbury, Cromer & Charmouth Folk Festivals, Worcester Music Festival and Brecon Fringe Festival, as well as a host of folk clubs and other venues. His all-original set is a blend of funny songs and more thought-provoking material. Each song has a story behind it, with audiences turning into a sea of nodding heads as they relate to the stories being told and the finely crafted songs that follow. His warm and cuddly personality is endearing and he says he makes a room full of new friends wherever he plays. Before finding his new home as a songwriter, John spent half a lifetime in other areas of the entertainment business, most notably in the magic world working to corporate audiences, either as after dinner entertainment or performing close up magic. The COVID period saw him out of action like everyone else, and a period of 16 months with no live shows. But that time was put to good use writing new material, including a completely new self-contained show ‘The Magical Musician.’
