Discover the heartbeat of Malvern’s music scene at Malvern Rocks, a vibrant three-day festival celebrating live music across multiple venues in and around the picturesque town of Malvern, UK. With free entry for all, our event brings together emerging talents, local favourites, and diverse genres – from punk and funk to folk, country, acoustic, jazz, and everything in between. Join us for an unforgettable weekend of performances in pubs, clubs, cafes, parks, and more!
Malvern Rocks first rocked the town in 2012, when a passionate group of local musicians banded together to create a weekend-long celebration of music. The inaugural event featured around 90 performances across 16 venues, including pubs, clubs, cafes, and hotels, drawing crowds and setting the stage for what would become a beloved annual tradition.
From 2012 to 2015, the festival hosted over 400 gigs, filling venues from Malvern Link to Upper Colwall, Guarlford to Stifford’s Bridge, and beyond – often to full capacity. After a seven-year hiatus, Malvern Rocks made a triumphant return in 2023, expanding its reach and attracting performers from across the country alongside homegrown talent. Supported by Malvern Hills District Council, it has grown into a major draw for music lovers near and far.
Each year builds on the last: 2023 saw £12.50 per performer, rising to £15 in 2024 and £20 in 2025. For 2026, we’re aiming for £25 per performer – because we believe every artist deserves compensation for their time and talent. Over the years, dozens of acts have landed paid gigs at local spots after shining at our festival.
