Malvern Creatives Connect are organising an ‘en plein air’ painting competition, asking artists to represent the ‘spirit of Malvern’. The competition offers a first prize of £1,000 and is open to local and national artists whether professional or amateur.
An en plein air painting competition is a creative event for artists to showcase their talent by painting outdoors.
Participants, typically armed with easels, paints, and canvases, set up in a designated location – often a scenic spot like a park or town square.
The challenge lies in capturing the beauty of the spirit of Malvern within a limited timeframe, with the ever-changing light and natural elements becoming part of the artistic process.
This competitions is open to both professional and amateur artists, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of artistic expression and friendly competition.
