Zimbabwean musician and performer Noel Bako has recently moved to the UK to live with his new wife and child. His musical output under his stage name, Paurosi, is prolific. Just take a look at this playlist of self-penned songs.
He writes soulful, optimistic songs that mix touches of reggae with R&B and drum and bass, all sitting comfortably within an unmistakably African wrapper. His vocals are smooth and his tunes are catchy.
Paurosi is performing twice at Malvern Rocks so there really is no excuse for not seeing him play. And what a show he delivers! He is a natural performer with an easy manner that draws you in as you tap your feet and sway as if held captive by the beat.
